Title- “Father Knows Best the Family’s Choice”
History- edited from Wikipedia- In 1920, the Curtiss Candy Company refashioned its Kandy Kake into the Baby Ruth. Baseball player Babe Ruth's fame was on the rise at that time but the company did not have an endorsement deal with him. The company claimed the bar was named after President Grover Cleveland's daughter, Ruth Cleveland, even though it was 24 years after Cleveland left the White House and 17 years after his daughter had died. It is suspected that the company's story about the origin of the name was a way to avoid having to pay the baseball player any royalties.
