History- For many of the middle years of the 20th century SPORT Magazine was the king of sport magazines in North America.  It was launched in September 1946 by New York-based publisher Macfadden Publications and pioneered the generous use of color photography.  A monthly magazine, SPORT was published continually from September 1946 until August 2000.

Cover subject is University of North Carolina halfback Charlie Justice.  Other story subjects are Bill Durnan of the Montreal Canadiens and a look at the top baseball rookies for 1949.

Condition- Excellent with light wear on the edges.
